Indianapolis’s ABC affiliate reports that John Gross was leaving Florida to return home to Indianapolis when a TSA official spilled ashes on the floor of the airport.
“They opened my bag, and I told them, ‘Please, be careful. These are my grandpa’s ashes,’” Gross told RTV6.
Gross said he was “told later on that she had no right to even open it, that they could have used other devices, like an X-ray machine. So she opened it up. She used her finger and was sifting through it. And then she accidentally spilled it.”

Though the company spent a great deal of time and money to get the Great American Steamboat Co. name out there, Tim Rubacky, senior vice president of marketing, told Cruise Critic that once the American Queen came out, the line realized the ship was actually its brand image.

Industry giant Carnival today took delivery of its newest cruise ship, the 3,690-passenger Carnival Breeze.
Under construction for nearly two years at the Fincantieri shipyard near Trieste, Italy, the 130,000-ton vessel is scheduled to set sail on its maiden voyage on Sunday — a 12-night Mediterranean sailing out of Venice.
With its addition, the line will have 24 ships at sea.
Carnival Breeze joins the Carnival Cruise Lines fleet
Carnival Cruise Lines got its hands on its newest ship, the Carnival Breeze, in a ceremony at the Fincantieri shipyard in Monfalcone, Italy.
The 130,000-ton, 3,600-passenger sister ship to the Carnival Magic and Carnival Dream becomes the 24th cruise ship in the line’s fleet. It will now head off on its inaugural cruise from Venice on June 3, sailing Mediterranean itineraries until this fall when it repositions to the Port of Miami.
“Carnival Breeze represents the continued evolution of our product, offering a huge array of branded experiences for our guests and inviting public spaces each with its own personality and character, all enhanced by the spirited fun that makes a Carnival cruise so memorable,” said Gerry Cahill, Carnival president and CEO.
It begins year-round six- and eight-day Caribbean cruises out of Miami beginning Nov. 24, making it the largest Carnival ship to sail out of a South Florida port. The six-day sailings will visit Grand Turk, Ocho Rios, Jamaica and Nassau, The Bahamas. The eight-day sailings will alternate between a southern Caribbean itinerary featuring Grand Turk, La Romana (Dominican Republic), Curacao and Aruba. An eastern Caribbean route will visit St. Thomas/St. John, Antigua, Tortola and Nassau.

Location, Location, Location – what more can I say about Hotel Lloret on La Rambla in Barcelona Spain! The rooms may be cosy, but the personality of this hotel is huge! I have to say – it was a terrific find, and I am so pleased that one of my travel friends suggested I stay there over Easter. I fell in love with Barcelona – I know I will be back – and I hope to call Hotel Lloret home once again!
Let’s start with the basics – free WiFi – in this day and age, I find it tough to believe this service is not available in some hotels. Breakfast was included – a selection of cereals, yogurt, breads, fruits, ham & cheese and the essential…
